Day 1: Getting the Player Moving

Today I started my journey by creating my player. For the movement of my player I have limited vertical movement by using Mathf.Clamp(). This allows me to set a range the the player can move between in the vertical space.

For the horizontal movement I allow the player to loop around the screen by setting the transform of the x-axis to the opposite side of the screen when the player hits the boundary.

I have used variables for the boundaries so that I can adjust them easily in one spot and not search through the code and enter each number manually.

I am very excited with the progress I made today and cannot wait to continue tomorrow.
